We’re a rapidly-growing, fast-paced team that thrives on challenge. We love taking on the hardest challenges the industry has to offer, and proving that collaboration and communication wins, every time.
We’re welcoming, approachable and friendly, working in a mutually supportive way, where our default question is ‘how can I help?’ We show compassion and kindness to ourselves and others, building strong relationships and celebrating successes.
Pushing the boundaries and tackling challenging problems is at the heart of the company. We know that taking risks means that sometimes things fail, and that’s ok. But driven by curiosity, ingenuity, persistence and expertise, we step into the unknown to find a solution. When someone says ‘That’s impossible’, we say ‘Challenge Accepted!’.

We value transparency and traceability and construct our processes around this. We share information freely and openly to help everyone understand the rationale behind decisions and why they are in the best interests of our people and company.
Speak your mind
It’s better to have ten ideas that don’t pass muster – and one that does – than not share any for fear of getting it wrong. We can put ourselves out there and voice our ideas. We always give and receive feedback constructively, helping the team work better together, and recognise achievements and success.
Innovation is, by nature, bottom-up. It’s not for the people in charge to come up with all the ideas. It’s only by asking everyone to contribute and listening to all perspectives, that can we progress as a company and develop the best solutions. We empower people to take responsibility, be creative, experiment and push the boundaries.
Community first means welcoming everyone, regardless of background, race, gender, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic. We also always put community first when developing our solutions – gathering only anonymous insights, eliminating personal data and innovating to be a force for good in the world.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
Mirri Hengeveld, Chair
At Vivacity, we aspire to build a diverse team and an inclusive environment where everyone can participate, grow, and contribute equally. Our brilliant EDI committee organises a broad variety of events and initiatives, including educational talks and film nights. The recruitment procedures are also run with rigorous guidelines, to minimise bias and attract a wide range of candidates. These steps are taken using metric-driven approaches for success.
Daniel Ambrose, Chair
Being an employee at Vivacity should have a net benefit on your mental health. The mental health committee works to foster a culture that empowers people to look after their own mental health as well as supporting others. We do this by providing people with the appropriate tools and resources, which facilitates them to take proactive steps to protect their and others’ mental health, both inside and outside of the workplace.
Culture and Wellbeing
Sam Williams, Chair
As part of creating an inspiring work environment, the Culture, Wellness & Fun Committee, is here to encourage and maintain a culture that supports and enhances people’s mental and physical wellbeing. Becoming much more important in recent times, the team has organised or facilitated many social events and fun activities, whether remote or in person, and where everyone is welcome, to help keep people connected, happy and to relieve stress.
Jamie Oakey, Chair
The aim of Sustainability committee is to bring environmental improvement. Focusing initially on the internal operations of the organisation but with the aim of eventually branching out to help improve our technology in a way that would help improve our clients understanding of their road networks and the impact of their changes in the fight against global warming, as well as looking at using our technology in new environmental impactful areas.
At Vivacity we know that diverse ideas and perspectives drive innovation and make us a better as a company and workplace.
