I am very excited to join the Vivacity team as a Business Development Executive.
Myself and my colleague Sam are responsible for the first two steps of the sales process, lead generation and the initial contact. We undertake research to help the company understand the position of our potential clients and who we should be directly talking to. We then reach out to these clients for the first time with a brief phone call to gain an understanding of the data they are trying to obtain by using our sensors.
I attended the university of Hull where I did a law and business degree. Shortly afterwards I started working for a small start up gym clothing company as a paralegal. While I was there I had the chance to experience other aspects of the business. The area that excited me the most was the development of the business. I began to dedicate time to speaking to customers and learning about the source of our sales. I learned a lot about building up a client base.
Joining Vivacity is the perfect opportunity for me to expand on my business development knowledge and venture into a new avenue by joining an innovative tech company. Vivacity is a company that encourages and welcomes growth which is something I am certainly looking for at this early stage in my career. I am enjoying the work and the autonomous nature of the role, it feels good to be given work and be trusted to get on with it! I cannot wait to get more stuck in and I look forward to spending more time with the teams and really getting to know the business.
