Supporting sustainable travel with anonymized multimodal transportation data in California with Culver City

Viva is proud to announce a new deployment in Jacksonville, FL for a temporary 8 week pilot, collecting multi-modal road user and near miss data.

Along with Viva’s partner, 360ns, the intent of the pilot is to collect data about near misses at two key junctions at the intersection of Beach Blvd and St. John’s Bluff Rd within the city of Jacksonville. Viva sensors will gather continuous, anonymous, highly accurate data on road user trends and behaviors. The new installations will be geared towards making Jacksonville, FL roadways more efficient by prioritizing sustainable modes of transportation.

Viva technology will allow the Jacksonville, FL Team to make data-driven decisions about safety interventions and enable Jacksonville, FL to adopt a data-led approach to improving multimodal and space infrastructure. The partnership with Viva will help the City achieve its ambitious mobility goals.

“360ns is excited to bring Viva’s near miss technology to communities like Jacksonville to study near miss interactions between vulnerable road users and larger vehicles to inform roadway safety measures.”
