Webinar: Making Monitoring Meaningful: Planning Transport in the Covid Era, 25th Feb 13:15 – 14:00 GMT

Wednesday, 17 February, 2021

Join us as we guest on the next Cross River Partnership Lunchtime Launch session, where we’ll be discussing innovations in monitoring and transport planning, and how we can turn data into something meaningful. Sign up here.

In this free to attend session, Abby McDougall from CRP will discuss transport monitoring and how over the past year we have seen a growing interest in and scrutiny of interventions to improve air quality. Monitoring can play a critical role in assessing the impact of these schemes, helping to guide more effective action for transport planning.

Mariana Barrios from Viva, with Fiona Coull from CRP, will discuss the latest insights from a recent 3-month traffic and road user monitoring programme, where traffic sensors were installed at 16 locations across London. This programme cuts across two CRP projects, Defra-funded Clean Air Villages and Mayor of London-funded Healthy Streets Everyday, with the aim to understand changes to transport and active transportation as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mariana will also look at how the Viva platform can be used for monitoring, demonstrating what the tool can do, including how the sensors and platform operate.

Taking place on the last Thursday of each month, CRP’s Lunchtime Launches will explore the latest from CRP and partners, including reports, project updates and upcoming initiatives. Sign up here for the latest news from CRP!
